________________________
Sculpture made of stone from Calatorao that shows the body of a woman divided into two halves, one negative and the other positive seen from behind. The internal part that separates both halves is highly polished and reflects the negative half as if it were a mirror. The optical effect of the reflection makes us see the entire body in negative.
The smooth texture of the sculpted body contrasts with the roughness of the rest of the work.
On the other hand, Subirachs again turns to Greek mythology. On this occasion he introduces us to Rhea, the titanic wife of the king of the Titans Cronos and mother of Zeus. This one would end up seizing power from the Titans, defeating his father Cronos and establishing the new era in which the gods of Olympus would rule.
