Shortly after Antoni Xaus painted the first artist room, the Hotel del Arte contacted the artist Xesco Mercé to paint room 108.

The title of the room is The automatic ball.

The artist has used a very personal iconography, in which we find an imaginary world governed by impossible machines: a lighthouse with a black bulb, flying mechanical insects and a series of zeppelins or airships that seem to come out from the air conditioning device to fly over the room.
