Next April 15th 2024 is the World Art Day
World Art Day is a celebration to promote the development, dissemination and promotion of art. The proclamation of this special day took place at the 40th session of the General Conference of UNESCO in 2019.
To commemorate this important date, the Hotel Estela Barcelona in Port d’Aiguadolç in Sitges, popularly known as Hotel del Arte, has prepared an artistic experience for those who wish to do so. The event will take place on Saturday, April 13th.
Visitors who wish to participate will be welcomed with a glass of cava. The hotel has organized guided tours around its facilities, to discover the secrets of the Hotel Estela’s impressive art collection. All participants will be presented with an original lithograph hand-signed by the famous artist Josep Puigmarti, the artist who had been residing at the hotel for more than 25 years.
Likewise, all those attending the event will participate in the creation of a collective painting, leaving their brushstroke on the canvas that will be prepared. This collective work will become part of the hotel’s art collection.
As a culmination, attendees will have the opportunity to savor the excellent Mediterranean and Market Cuisine of the Iris Gallery Restaurant with the dinner menu that Jaume Rius, the chef of the hotel, has designed especially for this occasion:
