On Thursday, June 13th, the Nit de l’Empresa (Business Night) of 2024 took place at the spectacular facilities of the Hotel Boutique Font de la Canya located in Avinyonet del Penedès.

This event organised by the FEGP (Federation of Entrepreneurs of Great Penedès) brought together more than 400 attendees, representing a large part of the business community in the Catalan regions of Garraf and Penedès. The event was attended by various personalities from the political and business worlds. Guests of honour were:
- The Honourable Mr. Roger Torrent, Minister of Business and Employment of the Generalitat of Catalonia
- The Honourable Mr. Carles Campuzano, Minister of Social Rights of the Generalitat of Catalonia
- Daniel Crespo, Rector from the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia)
- Neus Lloveras, President of the Business Federation of Gran Penedès

Other notable personalities were: the president of the Regional Council of Alt Penedès, Xavier Lluch, the president of the Regional Council of Garraf, Mònica Gallardo, the president delegate of the Infrastructure and Territory Area of the Provincial Council of Barcelona and mayor of Torrelles de Foix, Sergi Vallès, the Territorial Delegate of the Government in the Penedès, David Alquézar, and several mayors of Penedès and Garraf regions, as well as other representatives of Catalan institutions and organizations.
The actor Josep Ferré, characterized in his role as “Soledad León de Salazar” was in charge of presenting the gala and livening up the evening with his humor.

The first part of the gala focused its attention on the recognition of the companies associated with the business association that celebrate their anniversary. The 25th anniversary awards were given to Applus Idiada, Avantech Consulting Group, Consorci de Promoció Turística del Penedès, El Cargol, Fundació Adecco, Esin Ingenieros, Seraf Penedès, Virtual Service and Webschool.
Similarly, and for the first time at a Nit de l’Empresa, the FEGP paid tribute and recognition to four centenary companies in the area: Recaredo, Cadena SER, the 120th anniversary of the Casal Societat “La Principal” from Vilafranca del Penedès and the 125th anniversary of the Fundació Redós from Sant Josep i Sant Pere.

But without a doubt, the most eagerly awaited event was the FEGP awards ceremony. This year the Grand Prize went to the company Miguel Torres (Bodegas Torres), for its commitment to a sustainable management as well as its environmentally conscious. The award was collected by Mireia Torres from the hands of Mr. Roger Torrent.

The Hotel Estela Barcelona – Hotel del Arte from Sitges, as every year, is a sponsor of the event. The artistic hotel contributes the Estela Award Dones d’Empresa (Women in Business). This trophy consists of the sculpture “Aire” created in 2009 by surrealist artist Josep Puigmartí, an artist who lived and created in the hotel for more than 25 years. The precious award went to Ms. Maria Batet for her leadership and contribution in the business sector, as well as her commitment to promoting female talent in its territorial area. The award was presented by Mr. Antonio Almazor, CEO of the Hotel Estela. Ms. Maria Batet together with Ms. Susanna Mañé, are the patrons of the Mas Albornà Foundation.

From these lines, we congratulate all the winners and send our thanks to the FEGP and the Dones d’Empresa collective for their work. Dones d’Empresa is one of the most dynamic collectives in the FEGP with a clear objective, to be a vehicle to claim the importance of the role of women in the business field and to highlight the figure of businesswomen in the territory.
