Lorenzo Quinn
(Rome – Italy, May 7, 1966)
Outstanding figurative sculptor whose work is inspired by masters such as Michelangelo, Bernini and Rodin. His monumental public art and smaller, more intimate pieces convey his passion for timeless values and authentic emotions. He is known for his expressive recreations of human hands.
The son of Mexican-American actor Anthony Quinn, he was profoundly influenced by the latter when he decided to dedicate himself to the world of art.
Quinn studied at the American Academy of Fine Arts in New York, planning to be a surrealist painter. However, at the age of 21 he decided that his future lay in sculpture, which could better accommodate his energy and originality.
