This sculpture recalls Subirachs’s interest in pure geometric shapes and right angles. These are two pieces of Belgian marble that create the illusion of a more or less defined and closed space, such as the central nave of a church. Right in the middle there is a Calatorao stone cube that symbolizes an altar. All this measured and balanced staging is a constant in many of the artist’s works, always obsessed with precision in measurements and in the choice of materials.
